Clark Metal Products continues to give.
- January 23, 2017
In 2016 charitable giving continued to be a priority at Clark Metal Products. In addition to our 12 monthly charities, Clark Metal made donations to 32 local and national charities during the year. Employees raise money each month through raffles and weekly $5 donations to wear jeans on Thursdays. The company matches the dollar amount raised by the employees, and that amount is donated to the charity of the month.
November 2016 was dedicated to the National Alzheimer’s Association. Formed in 1980, the Alzheimer’s Association advanced research to end Alzheimer’s and dementia while enhancing the care for those living with the disease. Through various fundraising, a check for $160.00 was given to the Alzheimer’s Association in November.
In December, our monthly charity was the American Diabetes Association (ADA). The ADA is a US based association working to fight the consequences of diabetes and to help those affected by diabetes. The association funds research to manage, cure and prevent diabetes; delivers services to hundreds of communities, provides information for both patient and health care professionals.
For seven years in a row, Clark Metal Products has helped make Christmas a little brighter for the less fortunate and often home-bound elderly in our area. With the help of the Aging Service’s Meals on Wheels program, we set up an Angel Tree from which our employees could chose a tag with a gift request on it. Gifts were turned in by employees, wrapped and delivered by Santa and an Elf. Through the generosity of Clark employees, over 18 recipients received bags full of gifts this holiday. Take a peek at a few holiday smiles as the recipients received their gifts.
Our January 2017 charity of the month is Four Footed Friends; a no-kill shelter located in Indiana, PA. Four Footed Friends has a wonderful facility and does a lot of good work for homeless pets in the area.
We look forward to a new year of giving back in 2017!
